What Makes a Good Hotel?

A good hotel can be defined in a thousand different ways. There everybody is different, their expectations from a holiday hotel can be just as different. But considering all the variables that arise in defining a good hotel, there are still some basic factors that go into making good holiday accommodation.

Any service that caters what it promises can be said to be a good service. If it does even more than that, that can be termed as exceptional service! A hotel that lives up to its advertised image is a good hotel and can be reasonably expected to please its customers.

Hotels in different places are bound to be different. A good hotel is one that imbibes the flavour of the place it is situated in. There are rainforest holidays in the Amazon, and then there are Costa Rica Holidays, and people go to places having some sort of expectation of how it is going to be. A hotel should add to the experience of the destination, not take away from it.

The budget of a hotel need not have bearing on basic facilities and hygiene. If it's meant to be given out to guests to stay in, it's got to have a certain basic standard of cleanliness and hygiene as well as maintenance.

A good hotel is one that delivers the goods, and gives good value for its price. it is also a hotel that can add to the experience of the place.
